    How is Vitamin C usually used?
    Vitamin C is taken orallyorallyto be taken by mouth (swallowed) at a minimum dose of 20 mg per day for all ages.

  • infants (0 to 12 months): not established; source of intake should be from formula and food only
    children
    1 to 3 years: 400 mg per day
    4 to 8 years: 650 mg per day
    9 to 13 years: 1,200 mg per day
    adolescents (14 to 18 years): 1,800 mg per day
