How is Magnesium usually used?
Mangesium supplements can be found in many natural sources. It is taken orallyorallyto be taken by mouth (swallowed).
- The maximum recommended daily dose for adults 19 and older is 500 mg. For all other conditions of use, please refer to Table 1.

- What is Magnesium used for?
Magnesium is a factor in the maintenance of good health.
- For products providing a daily dose of magnesium between the Tolerable Upper Intake Level (UL) and the adult maximum daily dose, magnesium helps the body to:
- develop and maintain bones
develop and maintain teeth
metabolize carbohydrates, proteins, and fats
maintain proper muscle function
For products providing daily doses of magnesium at or above the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA; adjusted for the life stage groups), magnesium helps to prevent magnesium deficiency.
